Our Team

Pastors, Deacons, and Ministry Staff

At Eastmont Baptist Church, we follow the Bible’s pattern of leadership through pastors and deacons under Christ, the head of the church.

Pastors

Pastors (elders/overseers) lead by preaching God’s Word, shepherding the church, and providing spiritual oversight (Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 5:1–3; Ephesians 4:11–12).

Sam Sinclair

Lead Pastor

Sam Sinclair has served as Lead Pastor of Eastmont Baptist Church since the summer of 2025. He has a deep love for the local church and a strong desire to faithfully shepherd God’s people through the preaching of His Word.

Sam is a follower of Jesus, a devoted husband, and a father to two energetic boys. Born in Wellington, New Zealand, and raised in Prescott, Arizona, he came to faith in Christ at a young age through God’s grace and the faithful influence of his parents. By age twelve, he sensed a call to pastoral ministry.

He earned undergraduate degrees in Pastoral Ministries and History from Pensacola Christian College, followed by a Master’s in Biblical Languages and a Master of Divinity from Pensacola Theological Seminary. From 2017 to 2025, he served as pastor of Cloverleaf Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama.

In his free time, Sam enjoys playing the violin, drinking strong coffee, watching baseball, and studying biblical Greek and church history. Above all, his desire is to know Christ and to make Him known (Philippians 3:10).

Drew Wallen

Associate Pastor (Youth/Evangelism) [DV]

Drew serves with EBYOUTH, working primarily with middle and high school students. Before coming to faith, Drew was playing college football and pursuing sports broadcasting at Central Washington University. He was converted at the age of 20 through Fellowship of Christian Athletes, after which he graduated from CWU and went on to complete seminary at Liberty University in 2022. Drew is married to his wife, Hannah, whom he married in 2019, and together they have one daughter, Grace (1), with a second child expected in early 2026.  Drew’s desire is to help students understand their Bibles and cherish Christ above everything else.

Rachel Sinclair

Children’s Ministry Director

Rachel serves Eastmont Baptist Church as the Children’s Ministry Director and has a deep love for helping children come to know Christ. She trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of eight, and since that time Matthew 5:16 has shaped her life and ministry: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Raised in Ohio, she later spent nineteen years in the deep South, where she attended college and taught both elementary and college courses. She is married to her husband, Sam, and together they have two children, Timothy and Titus. As a family, they enjoy outdoor activities, reading good books, traveling, and going on adventures. She has a heart for children and is passionate about faithfully teaching them who God is from the pages of Scripture, believing that children’s ministry plays a vital role in fulfilling the Great Commission by pointing young hearts to Christ.
