Our Mission & Values

At Eastmont, our mission is simple.

At Eastmont Baptist Church, our mission is simple: to make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18–20). Our goal is to help people find and follow Jesus.

We believe discipleship is the whole of the Christian life—following Jesus and helping others follow Him. This shapes everything we do:

Love Jesus: God-Centered Worship

In our worship, we seek to know, love, and delight in God both personally and corporately through His Word (Psalm 95; Colossians 3:16). Worship is not merely music, but responding to God as He has revealed Himself. We worship in accordance with Scripture’s clear direction, reading His Word, praying, singing, and sitting under faithful preaching (John 4:23–24). Our aim is that love for Christ would fuel obedience, holiness, and joy in every area of life.

Equip the Saints: Bible-Saturated Teaching

Through expository preaching and faithful instruction, we seek to proclaim the meaning of Scripture and apply it to life (2 Timothy 3:16–17). Our goal is not simply to transfer information, but to equip every believer to grow in spiritual maturity and to minister God’s Word to others (Ephesians 4:11–12). We aim to declare the whole counsel of God and form lives shaped by His truth.

Build Community: Gospel-Centered Relationships

The gospel is what unites us, sustains us, and shapes how we relate to one another. Because we are one in Christ, we pursue meaningful relationships marked by love, humility, hospitality, and generosity (Romans 15:7; Hebrews 13:2; Philippians 2:1–4). We hold that meaningful relationships flourish in the context of covenant commitment. We believe the Christian life is meant to be lived together, as we encourage, serve, and care for one another. We enjoy supernatural community in Christ, not merely in natural similarities.

Serve Joyfully: Spirit-Empowered Ministry

God has given every believer spiritual gifts to build up the body (1 Peter 4:10–11), and every Christian is called to make Christ known (Acts 1:8). We serve one another within the church and seek to share the gospel with those outside it, trusting God—not our methods—to bring about real transformation. Our desire is to see every member actively engaged in the mission.

We aim to cultivate a culture of discipleship, where every member is growing in Christ and helping others do the same.
